Joe Amabile is sharing encouraging news after undergoing surgery to remove a brain lesion, according to E! News. In an Aug. 7 Instagram post, the Bachelor Nation alum said doctors were able to take it all out.
Amabile, 40, had revealed less than a month earlier that he had been diagnosed with a lesion in his brain about the size of a blueberry. At the time, he said doctors believed it was in very early stages and hoped they could remove it completely.
His latest post included a photo carousel from the hospital, showing him smiling in bed with a bandage on his head, giving a peace sign, and holding hands with his wife, Serena Pitt. The post also drew supportive messages from fellow Bachelor Nation alum, including Kaitlyn Bristowe and Ashley Iaconetti.
Pitt later shared her own update on Aug. 10, thanking the team at NYU Langone Health for what she described as their patience, care, compassion and kindness. She said Amabile was home recovering and that the couple felt grateful to have been in good hands.
