Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age opened their 2026 North American stadium tour in Toronto on Tuesday night, August 4, according to NME. The two bands launched the “Take Cover” tour at Rogers Stadium, with Mannequin Pussy serving as the opening act.
For Queens of the Stone Age, the show marked their first North American date since their orchestral Catacombs Tour in April and May. Their set included 11 songs, with performances of “In My Head,” “I Sat By The Ocean,” “Go With The Flow,” “No One Knows,” and “A Song For The Dead.”
Foo Fighters followed with a wide-ranging set that included material from across their career and one song from their new album, “Caught In The Echo.” The band also played “Aurora” in tribute to late drummer Taylor Hawkins and “The Teacher” in honor of Dave Grohl’s late mother, Virginia.
During the middle of the show, the band moved to a smaller B-stage for acoustic versions of “Wheels” and “Big Me,” along with a solo performance of “Under You” by Grohl. They finished the night with “Everlong,” backed by fireworks, as the tour continues in Detroit before wrapping in Las Vegas on September 26.
