The Minnesota Lottery says a player in the state has won a Lotto America jackpot worth $34.12 million, setting a new record for Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota Lottery, the winning ticket was purchased at the Holiday gas station on Coon Rapids Boulevard in Coon Rapids. Officials said it is the largest Lotto America jackpot ever won in the state.
Minnesota Lottery Executive Director Adam Prock said in a news release that a jackpot of this size brings excitement statewide and shows the appeal of playing the lottery. He also said the lottery is pleased to celebrate the win while continuing to raise proceeds that benefit Minnesotans.
The Holiday gas station that sold the winning ticket will receive a $10,000 bonus.
