Mary Steenburgen is sharing how much she enjoys her blended family, including her connection to Phil Collins after her son Charlie McDowell married Lily Collins.
Speaking to E! News on the red carpet at the Television Academy’s Hall of Fame ceremony on Aug. 13, where her husband Ted Danson was being honored, Steenburgen said she feels “very blessed” and added, “we love having Phil Collins in our family.”
Steenburgen also praised Lily Collins, who married Charlie in September 2021, calling her an “amazing mother and wife” and applauding her “beautiful work ethic,” along with her “glamour and beauty.” She said she is proud of the grace with which Collins has handled her career in the entertainment business, according to E! News.
Danson said he is proud of Collins as well, pointing to her role in Emily in Paris, where she stars and serves as a producer. The couple also spoke about their marriage of 33 years, saying laughter and small daily gestures help keep their relationship strong.
