Maricopa Wellness Center to launch Picofy for pigmentation and tattoo removal

Maricopa Wellness Center is set to introduce Picofy at a launch event on Sept. 9, according to InMaricopa. The practice says the technology will offer new options for treating pigmentation concerns and tattoo removal.

Medical director Kristina Donnay said Picofy can be used for melasma, which often appears as brown or gray patches on the face, as well as tattoos that people want to fade or erase. The device uses very short picosecond pulses to break up pigment with less heat than many traditional lasers, according to the article.

In addition to melasma and tattoo removal, the center says Picofy can also be used for sun damage, freckles, age spots, uneven pigmentation, acne scars and general skin rejuvenation. The technology is also said to help stimulate collagen production.

The launch event is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, with sessions from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Maricopa Wellness Center says the event will include light refreshments, giveaways, raffles, complimentary consultations and special event-only pricing.
