Mandy Teefey is pushing back after one fan took a joke about her daughters too seriously. The Wondermind co-founder posted a playful Instagram message on July 12 alongside a photo of Selena Gomez and 13-year-old Gracie Elliot Teefey.
In the post, Teefey called her daughters her “greatest accomplishments” and joked that they treat her like an uncool mom. She added that, no matter what, she supports them and will keep being there for them.
One commenter said Teefey should not post about “issues” with her daughters on social media. Teefey responded directly, according to E! News, saying it was simply a typical mom joke and telling the commenter to calm down.
The outlet notes that Teefey has faced public scrutiny about her relationship with Gomez before. She also shut down rumors in the past about being upset over not walking Gomez down the aisle at her wedding, saying it was heartwarming that Gomez’s grandfather had that honor.
