Madison Brown Brush is speaking candidly about the way she is raising her children, saying she has made a deliberate choice to break patterns from her own upbringing, according to E! News.
The Sister Wives alum, who is the second eldest child of Janelle Brown and Kody Brown, said in a recent Instagram post that there are things her children will never experience in their home. Brown Brush, who shares Axel, Evie, Josephine and Emilia with husband Caleb Brush, said she knew by age 13 that she did not want the life she was living.
She said she could not change her circumstances when she was younger, but she could decide what she would not pass on to her own family. Brown Brush added that she wants her home to be free of instability, fear, secrecy and chaos presented as normal.
Brown Brush also admitted that changing those patterns takes effort and intention, especially on difficult days. Still, she said she has long been certain that the troubling parts of her upbringing would end with her.
Her comments come less than a year after she said on TLC that she was open to reconciliation, forgiveness and closure with her father, though she said any return to their lives would require a clear pattern of consistency.
