Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are sharing new details about the emergency fetal surgery Kardashian underwent while pregnant with their son, Rocky Barker, according to E! News.
Barker said in his Hulu documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, that the couple learned during a doctor visit that Rocky’s lungs were filling with fluid. Kardashian said the surgery was “terrifying,” and Barker explained that doctors drained the fluid by placing a needle through her stomach.
Kardashian said Barker left four shows to be with her in the hospital during the procedure. Barker said the experience felt especially frightening because of the couple’s history of pregnancy loss.
The pair had previously lost a baby girl early in pregnancy before conceiving Rocky naturally. After several rounds of IVF, they welcomed Rocky on Nov. 1, 2023, and Barker called his son “a miracle.”
