Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry performed their collaboration ‘Hive Mind’ live for the first time during a surprise show in Brooklyn, according to NME.
The free pop-up concert took place on Tuesday night, July 28, at Substance Skatepark and was announced only a day earlier. New York hardcore band Combust also appeared on the bill.
During Knocked Loose’s set, Curry joined frontman Bryan Garris to deliver his verse on the track as the crowd filled the skatepark with moshing and crowd-surfing. The song was released in February and mixes the band’s metalcore style with Curry’s fast rap flow and trap elements.
The track’s video was also shot at a skatepark, filmed by Garris and director Eric Richter at David Armstrong Extreme Park in Louisville, Kentucky. Knocked Loose and Curry are set to launch their 24-date co-headline ‘Hive Mind’ North American tour on September 26 in Newport, Kentucky.
The tour will run across North America before ending in Mexico City on November 8. Curry released his collaborative album ‘Strictly 4 The Scythe’ with Key Nyata and the Scythe collective in March.
