Kathryn Hahn is sharing an update from the set of Disney’s live-action Tangled, saying the production is currently filming in Spain and has been underway there for some time, according to E! News.
Speaking at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Aug. 14, Hahn said the locations are beautiful and that the project already feels magical. She also praised her castmates, including Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider.
Hahn is playing Mother Gothel, the villain she described as a fun role to take on. She said she has not yet performed the character’s signature song, “Mother Knows Best,” but added that the choreography for the scene is impressive.
Disney announced at D23 that the live-action adaptation of the 2010 animated film is scheduled for release in March 2028. Hahn said she feels grateful for the opportunity and is still amazed to be part of the project.
