Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel say they kept asking about a third Frozen movie after Frozen 2 wrapped, according to E! News.
Bell, who voices Anna, said she was texting and calling for updates as soon as the second film ended. Menzel, the voice of Elsa, said Disney tends to wait until it believes it has the right story before going forward.
“They wait for the right time,” Menzel told E! News. “They don't rush to get back to it. They only do it if they feel like they have the right story to tell.” Bell added that she was ready to return to Walt Disney Animation Studios as soon as the sequel was released in 2019.
Frozen 3 is scheduled to open in theaters in November 2027. Bell also recently addressed rumors about a $60 million salary for the Frozen sequels, saying there was “a lot misreported” about the deal, while adding that she is grateful to be part of the franchise and would keep doing it if asked.
