Justin Vernon Plays Bob Dylan Covers Set at Eaux Claires 2026

Justin Vernon of Bon Iver performed a Bob Dylan covers set at Eaux Claires 2026 on the festival’s first night at Carson Park in Wisconsin, according to Stereogum. The set, billed as Bon Dylan, was first teased in April when the lineup included the name.

Vernon played 15 songs from Dylan’s catalog and was joined by guests including Phil Cook, Monica Martin and S. Carey. The performance leaned heavily on Dylan’s 1960s material, and several of the songs had been part of Vernon’s earlier Dylan cover work under the Bob Iver name.

He also played a separate, shorter acoustic set of his own material. That set opened with a cover of Kevin Morby’s “Die Young” and included an unreleased song Vernon wrote in honor of John Prine called “Room To Spare.”

Vernon’s extra set came after Morby had dropped out at the last minute because Katie Crutchfield gave birth to their baby, according to the report. The night also included a set from Aaron Dessner with Fred Again..
