Josh Duhamel says a family photo is what finally made him realize just how much older he is than his wife, Audra Mari, according to E! News.
On the HoneyDew podcast, the Transformers actor said he was looking at a picture of himself holding his younger sister, Kassidy Kemper, when he noticed Mari and Kassidy are the same age. Duhamel, who is 53, is 21 years older than Mari.
Duhamel said the moment led him to joke to Mari that he was “officially too old” for her. He added that he had not thought about the age difference that way until he saw the photo.
Even so, Duhamel said the relationship is about more than age. He told the podcast that he and Mari were friends for years before they started dating, and he said her maturity was part of what eventually won him over.
