31,075 skydives in one day set new world record across 43 countries

A total of 31,075 coordinated skydives were completed in one day across 43 countries, setting a new world record for the most recorded skydives in a single day, according to UPI Odd News.

The jumps took place Saturday as part of World Skydiving Day, an event coordinated by the U.S. Parachute Association, Australian Parachute Federation, British Skydiving and the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association.

The new mark topped the previous record of 30,351 skydives, which was set in 2024. Organizers said the event brought together participants of all experience levels, including people making their first tandem jumps.

USPA Executive Director Albert Berchtold said in a news release that the record reflects the sport’s continued growth and the enthusiasm of both new and experienced skydivers.
