Jodie Sweetin says her recovery journey has helped her form a meaningful connection with former Full House costar John Stamos, according to E! News.
During a July 15 appearance on The Dory Jackson Interview series, Sweetin said the two have “really connected” through their shared experiences with sobriety. She added that they have been there for each other’s major milestones and achievements.
Sweetin, 44, said she has not had a drink since 2011 and described recovery as a long process that has included 12-step programs, therapy and personal growth. She also said she wanted to be an example of “attraction rather than promotion,” a principle she said is important in recovery.
The actress has spoken openly about addiction before, including in her 2009 memoir unSweetined. Stamos, 62, shared in 2023 that a 2015 DUI experience pushed him to embrace sobriety.
