Jessie Cave says starting an OnlyFans account last year felt “embarrassing,” even though she needed the income. In an interview on the UK show This Morning, the Harry Potter alum said many people assume she is wealthy from her role in the franchise, but that she had a “small-ish part” and appeared in the films 20 years ago, according to E! News.
Cave, who played Lavender Brown in the final three Harry Potter movies, said she had hoped to find regular work instead. She added that childcare costs made that difficult, and described herself as a “struggling artist” who mostly performs one-woman shows with puppets these days.
The 39-year-old launched her OnlyFans account in March 2025, where she shares non-sexual hair-focused content with what she has called a “slutty Mormon” vibe. She said the niche page was inspired by the attention she already got for hair content on Instagram and by a desire to create something specific to her interests.
In a later interview with The Times, Cave said she has earned more in one year on OnlyFans than across her entire acting career. She also said the income has helped her family, adding that what she expected to be a short-term fix has now “genuinely saved our lives.”
