Vin Diesel is speaking publicly about his close relationship with Meadow Walker, the daughter of his late Fast & Furious co-star Paul Walker. In comments to Entertainment Tonight, Diesel said Meadow is “such a blessing” in his life, according to E! News.
Diesel said Meadow is the first person to call him on Father’s Day and the first to show up for his children’s birthdays. He added that he is grateful to have her in his family’s life and described her as “a true cousin to my angels.”
The actor also said Meadow’s presence at a recent event celebrating the franchise’s 25th anniversary meant a great deal to him. “It means everything,” Diesel said, explaining that he did not know if he could have handled the red carpet without her there.
Paul Walker died in a car crash in 2013 at age 40, leaving Meadow, then 15, behind. Since then, Diesel, who is Meadow’s godfather, has remained close to her and even walked her down the aisle when she married Louis Thornton-Allan in 2021, according to E! News.
