Jacob Elordi says one of his most intense Euphoria scenes involved being locked in a coffin for two days while wearing prosthetics and a fake tongue. According to E! News, the actor described the experience while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Colman Domingo.
Elordi said creator Sam Levinson added snakes to the coffin for Nate's gruesome death scene, in which the character is buried alive and dies after being bitten by a rattlesnake. He joked that Levinson seemed to bring him back just to put him through difficult scenes.
The actor said the snake used in the scene was a boa constrictor and described it as calm and sleepy. He said the reptile kept curling up near his feet and seemed more docile than threatening.
Even with the difficult setup, Elordi said he enjoyed filming the scene because he had no lines and only had to react. He also shared that his biggest fears are the dark, dying and washing dishes with leftover food in the water.
