Howie Mandel raised eyebrows during a recent episode of his podcast, Howie Mandel Does Stuff, when he joked about paying for what he called “tuggies” from time to time. Speaking alongside his 41-year-old daughter Jackelyn Shultz, he said he pays $25 for hand jobs, according to E! News.
During the Aug. 11 episode, Mandel said the arrangement left him embarrassed after he asked for a shoulder massage afterward. He joked that the woman he sees responded by telling him to “get the f--k out of here,” while guest Camilla Araujo teased that $25 was a good price.
Jackelyn did not hide her discomfort during the conversation. After hearing the exchange, she told her father that she is “always so uncomfortable” when he makes those jokes and said it is not a typical father-daughter conversation.
Days later, Mandel appeared to lean further into the bit. On Aug. 17, he posted a photo of his wife Terry wearing a glove and holding up $25 in cash, which followed an Aug. 16 Daily Mail report that his representative had sent the image as a tongue-in-cheek response to the comments.
