An actor from Heated Rivalry says he got into trouble after sharing comments about the show’s production schedule in a Cameo video that later spread online, according to E! News.
In a since-deleted video posted Aug. 6 and shared by a fan account on X, the actor said he was getting ready to return to Canada to film more episodes and added that he thought the team was doing 12 episodes this time. His remarks quickly sparked speculation from fans about how long the second season might be.
The actor later posted a note saying he was stepping away from Cameo because “a video went viral that got me in trouble” and that he would not return until August 2027. Fans also wondered whether the story could be split across more than one season, though creator Jacob Tierney has previously said he wants seasons to stay at six episodes.
In a statement to Variety on Aug. 13, the actor apologized for speaking off the cuff and said he should not have speculated about the production schedule or episode count. He added that he had no official information to announce and said his Cameo account is paused for now. Heated Rivalry season two is set to premiere in spring 2027, and the show has already announced several cast additions for the upcoming season.
