Billboard’s Friday Music Guide highlights several of the week’s biggest new releases, including new projects from Phoebe Bridgers, KATSEYE, Troye Sivan and Ayra Starr.
Phoebe Bridgers released her third album, Lost Weekend, following a phone-free show at New York’s Madison Square Garden in early June. Billboard described the 16-track album as moving between grief and joy, and between restlessness and calm.
KATSEYE also returned with its third EP, WILD, out through HYBE x Geffen Records. According to Billboard, the project includes tracks like “Pinky Up,” “Hootie Frutti,” “Animal” and “That Way,” and marks a new era for the group as a foursome while some members are on mental health breaks.
Troye Sivan is back with “She’s the Best,” the lead single and title track from his fourth album, which is due Oct. 9 on Interscope. Billboard also notes that Ayra Starr has released STARRGIRL, her third studio album, featuring 16 songs and collaborations with artists including Wizkid, Leon Thomas, kwn, ZAYN and Danny Ocean.
Also included in this week’s roundup is Jorja Smith’s “I Lied, You Lied,” a new single previewing her upcoming third album, set for release next week.
