Hailee Steinfeld says motherhood has given her a deeper connection to her upcoming Disney animated film Hexed, according to E! News.
Speaking at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Aug. 14, Steinfeld said the mother-daughter storyline feels especially meaningful to her. She voices Billie Doe in the movie, which follows a teenage girl and her Type A mom as they discover her unusual traits are actually hidden magic.
Steinfeld, who shares 4-month-old daughter Harper with husband Josh Allen, said she is excited for her child to see the film one day. She described the project as “pure magic” and said she hopes audiences embrace the characters and story.
In a July post on her Beau Society Substack, Steinfeld said she had become more sentimental about art since becoming a mother. Allen has also talked about how parenthood is changing his life as he prepares for the upcoming NFL season, saying it will be “definitely gonna be different.”
