Southern California dance event producer Framework will make its Miami debut in December during Art Basel week, according to Billboard. The company is partnering with Miami-based promoter unKommon events for a Dec. 4 show featuring Dutch electronic duo ANOTR.
The event is set for a venue at Watson Island Park, a space that has not been used for a show before. The park sits on an island in Biscayne Bay between South Beach and downtown Miami, and tickets are available through Dice.
Billboard reports that Miami’s Art Basel week is already a major destination for electronic music, with artists and party brands arriving for the city’s packed calendar of art, music and nightlife events. Framework founder Kobi Danan said the company wants to maintain its own approach while introducing its production style in a new market.
The Miami show comes as Framework continues expanding beyond California. The company is also set to co-produce a show near Phoenix on Oct. 30 with Relentless Beats, and it works with The Concourse Project in Austin, Texas, on booking and programming. Danan said Framework is only taking outside events when the right artist, venue and community fit comes together.
