YouTube star and music teacher Ms. Rachel is set to release her debut album, I’m So Happy, on Sept. 25, according to ABC News. The 23-track project is being released with her husband, Aron Accurso, who is known online as Mr. Aron.
Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, said music has always been an important part of family bonding. She explained that singing has been part of life with her children since they were born.
Accurso said the album reflects the musical focus of their popular YouTube work, while also giving families a way to enjoy the songs away from the screen. The project includes familiar songs from the show, reworked with new arrangements and a mix of vocalists and instrumentalists.
The album spans several styles, from a bossa nova take on “I Love a Rainbow” to a bluegrass version of “Old McDonald.” One of the songs, “I Could Be Your Friend,” is designed to help children practice social skills, and Ms. Rachel said the album was made with all children in mind, including those with disabilities and autistic children.
