DIIV have shared more information about their next album, ZIRP!, after teasing the project with a hotline and business card last week, according to Pitchfork.
The record was produced by A. G. Cook and is set for release on October 30. The band also released the album’s lead single, “The Fountain,” and posted the full tracklist, which includes songs like “Kid,” “Dare Me,” and “My Star.”
In a statement quoted by Pitchfork, Cook said he focused on capturing the band’s live sound, recording live drums early in the process and spending time on detailed guitar parts with pedals while keeping computer work to a minimum.
DIIV’s last album, Frog in Boiling Water, came out in 2024. To mark that release, the band will play dates across the U.S. and Canada, with the tour beginning at Balaclava Fest in São Paulo before stops in cities including Brooklyn, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
