Erling Haaland brings taxidermy raccoon home from Texas

Erling Haaland returned to Norway with an unusual souvenir from Texas: a taxidermied raccoon, according to E! News.

The piece, called the “Whiskey Raccoon,” is mounted on a wooden board and posed as if it is hugging and resting its head on a bottle of whiskey. E! News reported that it was bought from Wild Bill’s Western Store in Dallas and was listed at $750 before selling out.

Haaland brought the item off the plane when he arrived in Oslo on July 13 after Norway’s 2-1 quarterfinal loss to England in Miami on July 11. He later posted a photo of the moment on Instagram with the caption, “It followed me home.”

The 25-year-old also asked followers to help name his new collectible by voting in an Instagram Stories poll. His options were Cowboy, Ranger, TEX and R.O.W., short for Raccoon on Wheels.
