Erin Bates says she is open to having another baby after her recent health scare, according to E! News. During an Instagram Stories Q&A on July 15, she said she and husband Chad Paine would love to keep growing their family if her health is not an issue.
“Without a doubt, yes!” Bates wrote, adding that they both love children and see raising them to know and love Jesus as their highest calling, per People.
Bates also said adoption could be a possibility, though she described it only as “maybe” and said she is grateful for the children the couple already has. She and Paine have seven children together: Carson, Brooklyn, Everly, Holland, Finley, William and Henry.
Her comments come after a difficult recovery following Henry’s birth in August. According to the report, she was admitted to the ICU with a severe urinary tract infection and kidney infection that led to septic shock, and days later Chad Paine said she had also suffered a “lengthy and severe” seizure.
Bates was released from the hospital less than two weeks after the seizure and later regained the ability to walk. In November, she said the experience made her more grateful for her family, writing that the year changed her and reminded her how fragile life can be.
