Emilie Kiser is addressing backlash after video showed her husband Brady Kiser and their 16-month-old son Teddy on a boat without the toddler wearing a life jacket, according to E! News.
In a July 28 Instagram Story, Emilie said their child should have worn a life jacket for the entire ride, even briefly. She added that the family understands how quickly life can change and said they should have done better.
The influencer also said she appreciates the concern people have for their children, while recognizing the anger and hurt directed at her family. Emilie, who is expecting the couple’s third child, said some of that reaction is tied to the belief that her son Trigg should still be alive, a feeling she and her family share.
Trigg died in May 2025 at age 3 after accidentally drowning in the family’s pool. Emilie said the loss remains with them every day, and she and Brady will keep trying to improve, learn from mistakes and love their children as fully as they can.
