The 2026 edition of Elements festival is underway today, Aug. 7, at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, according to Billboard. The event began in 2013 as a one-day gathering in Brooklyn and has since grown into a three-day festival spread across the Pocono Mountains.
Elements remains independent, but the lineup is packed with major names in dance music, including Charlotte de Witte, Chris Lake, Subtronics, Porter Robinson, Of the Trees, Above & Beyond, Cloonee, Excision and Azzeca. Organizers are expecting as many as 40,000 attendees this year, up from 33,000 in 2025.
Co-founders Brett Herman and Timothy Monkiewicz produce the festival with a core team of 20, plus additional staff during the event. Herman said the goal is to keep building the festival’s immersive atmosphere with art, performances and experiences throughout the site.
Herman told Billboard that running an independent festival has been challenging because of inflation, higher fuel costs and other rising expenses. He said the team has focused on keeping Elements a good value while reinvesting in the experience over time, and he noted that this year’s festival includes new Fire and Earth stages, upgrades to Air and Water, and more art and experiences across the venue.
