Guns N' Roses brought out Chris Stapleton during their concert Wednesday night at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, according to Stereogum.
Stapleton appeared as the band performed Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door,” a song Guns N' Roses has long been associated with. The outlet noted that the collaboration came as Stapleton prepared to headline a show at the same venue the following night.
Fan video from the performance shows Stapleton sharing the stage with the band for the surprise moment. Stereogum wrote that there does not appear to be any earlier documented crossover between Stapleton and Guns N' Roses.
At the end of the song, Axl Rose told Stapleton, “We’ll see ya tomorrow.” It was not clear whether Rose planned to attend Stapleton’s concert later that night.
