David Byrne has announced a new UK book tour later this year in support of his upcoming book, Sleeping Beauties, according to NME.
The book is due out on October 8 through Penguin Random House and explores why certain ideas, discoveries and works of art are seen as ahead of their time before being rediscovered later. Byrne will discuss those themes on the road, along with the artists and thinkers he admires.
The tour begins on November 8 at Hackney Empire in London, then moves on to Brighton on November 9 and Manchester on November 11. Additional dates include Bristol’s St. George’s on November 12 and Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms on November 13.
According to NME, Byrne will donate his fees from the book tour to the Rocksteady Foundation, a non-profit that offers free music lessons to children in the UK.
