Courtney Love has praised Slayyyter after the singer performed a cover of Hole’s “Violet,” calling the version “a delight,” according to NME.
Slayyyter, whose real name is Catherine Grace Garner, performed the cover during a recent appearance on triple J’s Like A Version, the Australian radio series where artists play original songs and a cover with personal meaning.
During the set, which aired on Thursday, August 20, she also performed her new single “Brand New Chanel$.” The track follows her earlier release “Beat Up Chanel$” from earlier this year.
Love shared the performance on Instagram and wrote that Slayyyter would not be returning to St. Louis, adding, “It’s a DELIGHT!” Slayyyter responded in the comments, saying, “hope we made you proud.”
The appearance came after Slayyyter released her album “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA” in March and played festival dates over the summer, including Coachella.
