Sheriff’s deputies in Douglas County, Colorado responded to a reported break-in and found two bear cubs inside the home, according to UPI Odd News.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office shared video showing the cubs roaming through the house and eating cat food. Deputies said the animals had gotten inside by climbing through an open window.
Colorado Parks & Wildlife also responded and helped officers escort the cubs out of the home and back toward nearby woods.
After the incident, officials reminded residents to take steps to avoid attracting bears, including securing trash, bringing in bird feeders, keeping pet food inside and locking lower-level doors and windows.
