Usher stopped an onstage interaction with a female fan during his July 25 concert in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of the R&B Tour with Chris Brown, according to E! News.
In a video shared to Instagram by @malaysiarosee, the fan sat on a bed onstage while Usher sang to her. He then suggested she lie back on the mattress, but she stayed upright instead.
After the fan’s subtle refusal, Usher said, “I don’t think she wants to be on the stage,” before walking away and motioning for her to leave. The crowd responded with boos as she was ushered offstage.
The fan later addressed the reaction on social media, saying she was not turning down the chance to go onstage and explaining that she had been moved from floor seats to the VIP section before the show. Some users praised her for handling the moment with class.
