Colin Stetson and Brìghde Chaimbeul have announced a new collaborative album titled All The Light In The World, according to Stereogum. The record is due out later this summer.
The project brings together Stetson, the baritone saxophonist known for his film scoring work and recent collaborations, and Chaimbeul, a Scottish bagpipe experimentalist. Stereogum notes that the two musicians wrote every song on the album together.
No other musicians are listed on the Bandcamp page for the release. The album’s lead single, “Dirt Dance,” is a seven-minute instrumental track built around a deep, rhythmic sound.
The tracklist for All The Light In The World includes eight songs: “To Me, My Love,” “Dift Dance,” “Seamount,” “Even Though The Frost Is Harsh,” “Snowfall,” “New Moon Of The Age,” “All The Light In The World,” and “Time And Absence.”
