Arca is getting ready to release her first full-length album in five years, according to Pitchfork. The new project arrives next Friday, July 31, through XL.
Although no new song was shared with the announcement, Arca has planned a livestream for Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. The event, directed by Daniel Sannwald, will stream on Twitch and YouTube.
Pitchfork says the livestream, titled the Diva.Experimental transmission, will originate from Barcelona and span seven locations. Arca is expected to perform unreleased songs from the 16-track album during the show.
In a press release, Arca thanked Feeld for supporting the livestream and said the backing is helping make the production possible. In the past year, she has also released the singles and videos “Puta” and “Sola,” and contributed to Madonna’s Confessions II, while also working with Addison Rae, Hikaru Utada, Tokischa, and others.
