Carole Radziwill is returning to The Real Housewives of New York for season 16 after an eight-year break, and a new trailer released July 21 shows her stepping back into the spotlight as a friend of the cast, according to E! News.
The teaser opens with Radziwill saying she “can’t believe” she’s back, before quickly cutting to an uncomfortable scene in New York City. In the moment, a passerby calls her “the one from the Epstein files” while she is out with Erin Lichy.
Later in the trailer, Radziwill is asked in a separate scene, “You never went to the island?” She replies, “No,” and adds, “You think I’m part of an international sex-trafficking ring?”
The trailer also previews other cast moments, including Daisy Toye appearing with Martha Stewart, Toye talking about being in a “lavender marriage,” and several dinner arguments. Radziwill also appears to comment on the fascination around Ryan Murphy’s Love Story series, saying in voiceover, “Everyone’s American love story is my American horror story.”
Radziwill has previously said she never knew Jeffrey Epstein, though she told The New York Times in March that she had once been close to Ghislaine Maxwell and was shocked by Maxwell’s role in Epstein’s crimes.
