Brittany Mahomes is celebrating Patrick Mahomes' return to football after the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback spent months recovering from a major knee injury, according to E! News.
On July 25, Brittany shared an Instagram Stories post reacting to video of Patrick heading to training camp. “Seeing him back doing what he loves,” she wrote, adding, “So thankful.”
Patrick tore both his ACL and LCL in his left leg during an NFL game last December, an injury that ended his season. According to E! News, the setback came in a tense matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Last month, Patrick signed a two-year contract extension with the Chiefs worth more than $500 million, according to his agency. The deal was announced by Equity Sports on June 10 as the largest contract in NFL history, valued at $504.75 million.
Patrick later said in an Instagram post that he was happy to stay with the team he considers home, while Brittany has continued to show support for him throughout his career and family life.
