Benito Skinner debuted a dramatic blonde hair transformation at Teen Vogue Fest in Brooklyn, New York, on July 25. The Overcompensating star, also known as Benny Drama, showed off platinum locks on the red carpet, according to footage shared by @jpasc24.
Skinner paired the new look with a purple ERL polo, khaki shorts, silver-rimmed glasses and a skinny black belt. He later posted a photo of his bleached hair on Instagram with the caption, "that’s the thing with the ambition...," which appeared to reference Zara Larsson’s 2025 song "The Ambition."
He also gave fans another close-up in an Instagram Stories selfie, writing simply, "hehe." Skinner then appeared in a TikTok video with his Overcompensating costar Owen Thiele, where the pair lip-synced to Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter’s 2026 track "Bring Your Love."
Fans quickly reacted to the change, with some comparing Skinner to a young Freddie Prinze Jr. The new style came just two weeks after he finished filming the sophomore season of Overcompensating, a series loosely based on his college experience, according to E! News.
