Clarkson, who shares two children, River and Remington, with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, said one of the hardest parts of being in a relationship is keeping the spark alive. She said couples have to keep dating and make things feel magical instead of routine.
Her comments came nearly a year after Blackstock died in August 2025 after a yearslong battle with cancer, according to the report. Clarkson has generally kept her personal life private, though she has shared occasional updates about her family in the months since his death.
