Boosie BadAzz Sought Trump Pardon Through Lobbyists, Wants $300,000 Back

Boosie BadAzz reportedly spent $600,000 on a Washington, D.C., lobbying team in an effort to win a pardon from President Donald Trump, according to a report from Notus cited by Rolling Stone. The rapper, born Torence Hatch, is now asking for a $300,000 refund from JM Burkman & Associates.

Boosie was seeking clemency for federal gun charges tied to a 2023 incident in which he was accused of illegally possessing a handgun. According to the report, he believed the lobbyists could help after his own attempt to win support during Black History Month did not succeed.

The lobbying firm is made up of Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman. Boosie told Notus he was led to believe they had strong political connections, while the pair reportedly claimed they could secure a pardon and even suggested one had already been signed.

Laura Loomer publicly pushed back on social media when Boosie tagged her in a post, saying she does not handle that kind of work and that pardons cannot be bought. Boosie has since been posting about the dispute while also promoting an upcoming Dukes & Boots concert, according to Rolling Stone.
