Blondshell has released a new song called “Fur Elise,” which will appear on her upcoming album Violins, according to NME.
The Los Angeles artist, whose real name is Sabrina Teitelbaum, is set to release her third studio album on September 25 through Partisan Records. It follows last year’s If You Asked For A Picture.
“Fur Elise” is the closing track on the album. NME reports that the song features Blondshell’s mix of loud and quiet dynamics while reflecting on the uncertainty and complexity of growing up.
Teitelbaum said the song captures the feeling of trying to decide what you want your future to look like before you even know where to begin. She also said the new record is “heavy” and includes more imagery in the songwriting, while still aiming for songs that “hit hard.”
Blondshell will tour North America, the UK and Europe later this year, including her biggest London headline show so far at the Roundhouse on December 15, according to NME.
