Beabadoobee, Jorja Smith and Nemzzz are set to headline Spotify’s new Hometown series, a three-part run of intimate live shows that will spotlight each artist’s roots, according to Billboard.
The series begins with Jorja Smith performing in Walsall, near Birmingham, on Sept. 6. Nemzzz will follow in Manchester on Sept. 12, and Beabadoobee will close things out in London on Sept. 17. Spotify has not yet announced the venues.
Each performance will be open to top listeners of the artist, and the shows will later be turned into exclusive concert films. Spotify also plans to support local community initiatives tied to each stop, including donations to youth organizations.
Smith said Walsall is where she first started writing and recording music as a teenager, while Nemzzz said doing the project at home feels like a natural extension of how he has represented Manchester. Beabadoobee said London is where she began finding her people, playing tiny shows and figuring out what she wanted to do.
