A Kentucky woman woke up to find a bear had wandered into her Harlan County home through an open front door and eaten her leftover fried chicken, according to UPI Odd News.
Kendra North said she and her partner had left the door open for air circulation Wednesday night and forgot to close it before going to bed. She said she first learned something was wrong when her sister called after spotting a bear from a nearby house.
North said the bear got into the house, ate the leftover KFC and damaged a glass table while inside. She later told WLKY-TV that she also saw another bear on her porch two days later while she was cooking dinner.
After the encounter, North said she now makes sure the front door is shut at night. She joked to WLKY-TV that 7 p.m. seems to be bear time now, too.
