Anderson .Paak and Cordae are taking their longtime collaboration to the next level with a joint album, according to Pitchfork.
The project is titled Heavy Is the Crown and is scheduled to arrive October 23 through Apeshit, Mass Appeal and Empire. Pitchfork says the album cover appears to draw inspiration from the 2008 comedy Step Brothers.
Paak and Cordae have worked together before, including on “RNP” from Cordae’s 2019 debut The Lost Boy. The two artists have continued to collaborate frequently since then.
Cordae released his last album, The Crossroads, in 2024. Since then, Paak has issued another NxWorries album, toured with Bruno Mars, and appeared on songs by Fred Again.., Amber Mark, Summer Walker and Disclosure, according to Pitchfork.
