A drag show at the Cowboys Music Festival in Alberta has set a Guinness World Record for the largest attendance at a drag artist stage show, according to UPI Odd News.
The July 11 event, called “Drag Me to Cowboys,” drew 7,423 attendees and featured performers including RuPaul, Sasha Velour, Sasha Colby, Nearah Nuff, Roxxy Andrews and Coco Montrose.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Tina Shi reviewed the event remotely and used specialized software to confirm the crowd count, the report said.
The festival marked its 30th anniversary this year. Farrah Nuff, who hosted the show, told the Calgary Herald that the event showed queerness is welcomed and celebrated in Alberta.
