Tiny Habits share intimate new single ‘Belt Loop’ ahead of second album

Tiny Habits have released a new single called “Belt Loop,” a sensitive track that the trio says looks at the emotional fallout of an intense breakup, according to NME.

The song is the third preview from the Boston group’s upcoming second album, “Keepers,” which is due out on August 28 through Mom+Pop Music. It follows earlier singles “Right In Front Of Me” and “Anything He Was,” the band’s collaboration with The 1975’s Matty Healy.

According to Tiny Habits, “Belt Loop” explores the uneasy feeling of being close with someone new for the first time after a relationship ends. The band said the song gave them room to try out a new writing style and address subjects they had not covered before.

Cinya Khan, Judah Mayowa and Maya Rae also said the track lets them lean into a more playful, sensual and grown-up sound while still keeping honesty at the center of their music. “Keepers” was written during sessions in Los Angeles and New York, with production by Benjamin Millman and additional production from Philip Weinrobe, Ryan Linvill and Jeremy Schmetterer.

Tiny Habits previously released their debut album “All For Something” in 2024 after building an online audience with harmony-filled cover songs while studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston. The band recently played Newport Folk Festival and has upcoming shows in London, at All Things Go Festival and on a North American headline tour starting in November.
