Sylvan Esso have announced Ow ∞, their first album in four years and the follow-up to No Rules Sandy, according to Pitchfork. It will also be the North Carolina duo’s first release on their own Psychic Hotline label.
The album is set to arrive on September 11. The band will hold listening events around the world on September 3.
Along with the album announcement, Sylvan Esso released a new single called “Concrete Glen.” The track samples Sigur Rós’ Ágætis Byrjun song “Svefn-g-englar,” and a video for it was directed by Aaron Anderson and Eric Timothy Carlson.
Pitchfork reports that the album includes appearances from Daniel Aged, BJ Burton, Matt Douglas, Glenn Kotche, Jake Luppen, TJ Maiani, James Mapley-Brittle, Buddy Ross, Jenn Wasner, and Joe Westerlund. The duo also recently announced a large North American tour that begins in the fall and continues with a second leg in early 2027.
