Drivers on State Route 347 should plan for more overnight lane restrictions as construction continues on the highway improvement and widening project, according to InMaricopa.
Northbound and southbound SR 347 will be reduced to one lane at the Mammoth Way intersection from 8 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday for geotechnical work. That same restriction will continue nightly through Thursday, Sept. 3.
Southbound SR 347 will also be narrowed to one lane between Interstate 10 and Riggs Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday for geotechnical work.
ADOT is urging drivers to slow down, obey posted speed limits, merge carefully and leave extra time for their trips through the work zones. Officials say the schedule may change because of weather or other unexpected conditions.
