A South Carolina man is celebrating a $150,000 Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot after playing the same numbers for three years, according to UPI Odd News.
The Lowcountry winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that the ticket he bought at the Harris Teeter on Long Pointe Road in Mount Pleasant used numbers that felt familiar to him. The winning combination was 11, 13, 24, 29 and 34.
He said he had been using those numbers since 2023 and plans to keep playing them after the payoff. "It paid off, and I'm sticking with them," he said.
The man also said he had never won anything before and described the moment he realized he had won as amazing. He added that he has already started spending some of the prize money.
